Performance-related Adequate Calculation of Costs for Trading Departments, According to the Costs-by-cause Principle
With the usage of VIMAXProfile, the effective load of the Front End Installation by all users’ transactions are measured in real time on a trading day, among others, and listed in an SQL database.
These trader-ID based data form the basis for a cost allocation algorithm. The controlling department of a trading member can establish an activity-related cost allocation by combining these data with internal information (e.g. operating costs of all MISS, service charges, etc.). The results can be created at the push of a button, for a freely defined period of time (at least one trading day).
CCP – Linking of Trading Transactions
Individual software on the basis of the GATE architecture and VALUES API for the linking of trading transactions (CCP-debit) to the specifications of a trading bank.
Further requirements were:
- redundantly designed server concept
- communication between the two servers via a TCP/IP socket link
- accessibility of several VALUES agents per server
- connect direct link to internal HOST
- a (freely definable) GUI in English language.
Calculation Degree of Fulfilment for Quotations
Order Routing Interface
- the direct and quick transfer of order data from an existing user’s backoffice system to the electronic exchanges Eurex and Xetra and
- the quick import of trade confirmations of Eurex and Xetra to the existing user’s backoffice system.
Thereby, the orders are sent to a Multi Member/Multi Market MISS installation (Eurex, Xetra and Xetra Vienna),and the trade confirmations are received by it, too.
That solution is interesting for banks and trading houses, which do not operate an own Front End Installation, but want to act at the exchanges with minimal effort.
CEF Interfaces
Interface for CEF core and CEF Dataselect to 3rd Party applications.
The interfaces are based on the FIX protocol or the 3rd Party own protocols.FIX stands for Financial Information eXchange. With the usage of a common standard, the interchange of information among requirements of different producers is significantly simplified. So the application servers are directly and without detours provided with all market data.
Comparing Measurements CEF and Reuters
Special software, measuring time on the basis of milliseconds, in which CEF and Reuters provide selected security prices of Xetra at a defined internal interface. Afterwards evaluation and analysis of measured data.
These measurements are realised with the customer on-site, in order to take the real conditions of the individual network into consideration.
Therewith, it was ensured that the data stream was used, providing the trading business with security prices as fast as possible.
Interfaces to IBM Tivoli and hp Open View
For customers, using VIMAXMonitor as special solution in operating trading systems, but internally use systems and network management systems from IBM or hp, there is the possibility to pass defined data, concerning modifications of system statuses, via an interface, realised by exchange consult, to the systems and network management system.
By means of this kind of integration, VIMAXMonitor’s advantages (real time events and illustration of peculiarities of the GATE architecture) combine with the strengths of the systems and network management systems (event routing, event escalation).
In this way, the trade installation’s complexity can be optimally integrated in the internal operational procedures.
